Lombard, Montana
Lombard, Mt. now sits as just another siding on the Montana Rail Link. However, in it's glory this town actually hosted 2 large transcontinental railroads, the C.M.St. P. & P. (Milwaukee Road) and the N.P. (Northern Pacific). As you can see from these pictures not much is left of Lombard, it's time has come and gone. To me the old cars were just begging to be photographed in B/W with the sun peeking through the clouds. Finding Lombard was another matter. You need a high clearance vehicle and a good map (or better yet, ask directions from the locals in Toston). I will leave it up to you to find!
