Milwaukee Road Little Joe Page

The following are photographs of the Milwaukee Road's little Joe now on display in Deer Lodge, Montana. The E-70 was originally built along with it's sisters for use in the Soviet Union. However, with the breakout of the cold war that order was canceled by the U.S Government.. They were bought by the Milwaukee Road for it's western electrical expansion. By this time the name Little Joe (after Josef Stalin) had stuck.
